Amari Battle serves as a Community Health Worker with the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research at the Duke Global Health Institute. In her role, she supports the ENC-HEAL program by helping deliver evidence-based youth development and health education initiatives across schools and community organizations in Eastern North Carolina.

 

Amari earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she focused on behavioral and medical sciences. Before joining Duke, she worked as an EMT and a pediatric medical assistant, experiences that strengthened her commitment to bridging clinical care and community-based research.

 

In her free time, Amari enjoys reading, traveling, and planning creative events that bring people together.
