"ENC-HEAL"
Our Mission
The mission of ENC-HEAL is to deliver engaging, evidence-based sexual health education that is culturally relevant and empowers adolescents to make informed choices, build healthy relationships and prevent teen pregnancy. ENC-HEAL works collaboratively with communities to identify accessible resources that address the unique needs of our diverse communities, to build and advance health literacy for youth. Through advocacy and innovative programs we foster a supportive and welcoming environment for all youth that promotes open communication equipping adolescents with knowledge and skills to contribute to their overall positive youth development and healthier futures
ENC-HEAL currently works in 4 settings (Foster care, Schools, Community Based programs and Juvenile Justice programs.

The Office of Population Affairs cooperative agreement Advancing Equity in Adolescent Health through Evidence-Based Teen Pregnancy Prevention Programs and Services was awarded to the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research (CHPIR) at Duke University in June 2023.
