PREPare for Success Program

The NC Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health’s; Women’s Health Branch on Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiatives (TPPI) has received the State PREP award and has further funded Duke PREP-Craven.

 

The PREPare for Success programming educates young people on both abstinence and contraception to prevent pregnancy and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS. This program replicates effective, evidence-based program models and/or substantially incorporates elements of effective programs that have been proven to delay sexual activity, increase condom or contraceptive use for sexually active youth, and/or reduce pregnancy and STI/HIV among youth.
