Colin Witt is a Program Coordinator for Duke Teen Health Club PREP Project. In this role, he supports the implementation of the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) grant in Craven County, funded by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. His work focuses on improving adolescent health outcomes through education and community engagement, particularly by co-leading the Duke Teen Health Club initiatives. These initiatives aim to reduce teenage pregnancy rates and promote healthy behaviors among youth through evidence-based education on reproductive health, healthy relationships, and informed decision-making.

Colin earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to joining Duke, he served as a Community Health HIV/AIDS Program Coordinator with the U.S. Peace Corps in Namibia, where he partnered with schools and community organizations to deliver youth-focused programming in reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention. His efforts contributed to broader goals set by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), with an emphasis on adolescent empowerment and sustainable health education. Colin is passionate about how research-driven, population-level prevention programs can reduce health-related inequities.
